HASTINGS, Neb. — It’s a topic that has divided towns and affected Nebraska’s single largest industry.
On Friday, the Adams Central Public School hosted a property tax and public policy forum. Nearly 150 Nebraskans attended the forum, watching online or in person. One speaker, believes Nebraska is in its worst economic crisis since the 1980s. John Hansen of the Nebraska Farmers Union remembered when he first started farming. Corn was $3.30 a bushel.
