Omaha World-Herald on Dec. 10: Lawmakers weigh report’s recommendations on business tax incentive program
The state’s main business tax incentive program should have standards to help measure its effectiveness, lawmakers were told Friday.
The Nebraska Legislature also should consider simplifying the Nebraska Advantage Act, evaluating its costs and clarifying its goals.
Those recommendations and others from a recent audit report on the incentive program were weighed during a joint meeting of the Legislature’s Appropriations and Revenue Committees.
