COLUMBUS — Pete Ricketts promised to make tax relief his top priority in 2015 and state lawmakers could receive a package of proposals from the new governor as early as this week.
But finding a plan to cut Nebraskans’ property tax payments without raising other costs or hurting services such as education won’t be easy, Sen. Paul Schumacher said while speaking to local leaders at the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce office.
