Gov. Jim Pillen on Monday announced the formation of a working group to look at reforming the state’s property tax system.
In its story, the Nebraska Examiner spoke with Dr. Rebecca Firestone, executive director of OpenSky Policy Institute, who said that any examination must look at all classes of property, because chaning the valuation method for one category can shift tax responsibility to others.
