A panel of Nebraska business leaders and economists believe the state will finish the current fiscal year with $80 million less than expected but agreed to raise prior forecasts for tax receipts by a combined $80 million over the following two years.

In the report, OpenSky Policy Institute said it’s now up to senators to make “fiscal decisions that protect against self-imposed crises down the road.”
