The Nebraska Legislature’s Revenue Committee signed off on a major property tax relief plan.
Lawmakers have just 12 days left in the session to debate and vote on the package.
It calls for $650 million in new relief.
The tradeoff is it could raise Nebraska’s sales tax to one of the highest in the country.
