Survey results released by OpenSky Policy Institute show a majority of respondents would repeal a new state law that diverts state tax payments to groups providing private school scholarships.
In its story on the results, the Nebraska Examiner spoke with OpenSky Executive Director Dr. Rebecca Firestone, who said that diverting state tax funds to private school scholarships takes away general funds that could go to public schools or other state priorities.
