The Nebraska Legislature amended two tax relief measures before advancing the bills to final-round debate on Thursday.

In coverage of LB 243, the property tax measure, the Nebraska Examiner noted analysis by OpenSky Policy Institute projecting that 26 of the state’s school districts stand to lose more in property tax revenue than the state would make up in new aid. Provisions of the revenue cap on school districts included in the bill were amended.
