Nebraska Examiner on Oct. 24: Changing valuation of farmland to income-producing capability is the wrong approach, prof says

OpenSky’s Fall Policy Symposium featured a panel discussion focused on “opportunities and solutions” in evaluating property tax reform in Nebraska.

During the Symposium, Professor John Anderson noted that changing how agricultural land is valued from a market-value approach to a use-value approach doesn’t result in a significant change except near big cities.
