OpenSky Policy Institute joined a coalition of Nebraska groups urging Congress to support a full repeal of the lifetime ban on individuals with past felony drug convictions from receiving SNAP benefits.
In its story on the coalition’s letter to policymakers, the Nebraska Examiner spoke with Kayla Tobey, a Lincoln resident who went to Washington to try to convince federal officials to repeal the ban in the 2023 Farm Bill.
