Connie Knoche joins OpenSky as education policy director

We are excited to announce that Connie Knoche has joined OpenSky’s staff as our education policy director!

In her new role, Connie will oversee OpenSky’s education finance policy work and help lawmakers, journalists and others understand what various education funding policies and policy proposals mean for our state’s schools, students and taxpayers.

Connie comes to OpenSky after serving as Chief Financial Officer for Omaha Public Schools since 2015.

Before her work at OPS, Connie served as director of finance for Lincoln Public Schools, as a state aid consultant for Nebraska’s Department of Education and as a budget coordinator in the State Auditor’s office.

Connie has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and she also is a Certified Public Accountant.
