Hiawatha World on Dec. 9: OpenSky numbers differ with Nebraska Farm Bureau’s regarding sales tax revenues
Although OpenSky policy analysts agree with Nebraska Farm Bureau (NFB) president’s call for tax reform and a reduction in property taxes, they differ with NFB’s statistics regarding sales tax revenues in the state.
During NFB President Steve Nelson’s annual address at the company’s annual meeting and convention Dec. 5 in Kearney, he called on Gov. Pete Ricketts and the Legislature to broaden the sales tax base.
