OpenSky statement on September tax receipt report
The following is a statement from OpenSky Policy Institute Executive Director Renee Fry about September’s state tax receipt report:
“Today’s revenue news is good for Nebraskans as it means a bolstered cash reserve. Our strong cash reserve helped us weather the last recession in much better condition than most states. Dropping corn prices serve as a reminder that we are not out of the woods but Nebraskans can take heart knowing the cash reserve is growing and can help get us through more downturns without having to make large cuts to education and other key services.”
