The Grand Island Independent on Dec. 6: Nebraska nonprofits concerned about budget cuts as needs increase

Nonprofits from Grand Island and Central Nebraska heard Thursday about possible cuts to the state budget that would impact their funding at a forum sponsored by the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands that covers Nebraska and parts of Iowa.

Briefing the nonprofits was Renee Fry, executive director of the Open Sky Policy Institute. Fry had a detailed presentation of state finances and what impact it could have on nonprofits if their funding is cut by state lawmakers.
