The North Platte Telegraph on Sept. 26: Nebraska doesn’t need to apologize for supporting great public schools

Recent opinion pieces criticizing support for public education in Nebraska raise a serious question: “When did public education become an enemy of the state?”

We spent much of our summer updating our education primer, and after reviewing many statistics and analyses, it’s clear to us that the answer is, “It hasn’t.” To the contrary, there is hardly a more valuable asset to Nebraska than our outstanding public schools.
